Introduction
Letter of resignation is type of letter written and sent to the company or organization you are working with. It is advisable to write letter to the company if you cant cope with the situation of the company than to behave. This type of letter is formal as you will have to be polite, state the reason for leaving (optional), thank them for opportunity you were offered and resignation duration notice. This is the document that will makes it official that you are leaving a company formally as you kept them informed.

- Be concise : This letter should not be too much as the only purpose is to show I am not working anymore! You are not convincing anybody, so be very brief and say what you want. No need to write how you will survive after the resignation.
- Submit or send letter yourself : It is very good to submit the letter directly to the company directly to the manager or send it via email. Make sure you add the date you sent it and have a title “Letter of Resignation [Your full name]” it may deliver early or quick but it’s best is to submit in person.
- Be polite : Not that because you want to leave a company, then you now write the letter in a non polite. This is very wrong. You have to be positive and thankful to the company regardless of the reason you are leaving.
- Understand how resignation works in your company: Make sure you know how it resignation works in your company like how and when the company pay off the departed workers. This is very essential so wont get stranded as the person went ahead to resign and has some few weeks to resume new job or doesn’t have much in account.
- Wait for managers plan : In the transition period, you may be required to sign some documents, finish some project you started. This plans are decided by the manager.

- Step 1 : Address of the writer : This letter will contain the address of the writer and date you submit the letter. Make sure the contact information is correct. For example:

- Step 4 : Letter heading : This will be what will give the person that wants to read it the impression of what the letter entails.
- Step 5: Declaration of resignation : This should be the first paragraph as you will need to tell them the purpose of your letter. Go straight as you don’t need to thank them first, you are not doing party.
- Step 6 : Make you departure date known : You should have decided when it will be convenient for you want to resign if not urgent. Make it known and declare it in the letter.
- Step 7 : Declare your resignation : everyone is ready to learn. So, if you are leaving the company based on how they treated you. You may declare it as I don’t mean you should say it in politely.
